This is just a small taste of the magic that a pleasant and decidedly out-of-the-way place like Pilzone, a tiny hamlet in the Brescia municipality of Iseo, can give you.
Welcome to a little-known hiking paradise. Put your backpack on your shoulders and comfortable walking boots on your feet and off you go up the hill towards San Fermo, just a few kilometres from the town. Once you reach the top, a breathtaking panorama of Lago d’Iseo and Monte Isola will be a generous reward for your efforts.
Don’t forget to stop at the Big Bench, one of the giant green benches created in Lombardy as part of the Big Bench Community Project by American artist and designer Chris Bangle.
