From 4 to 17 July 2026, the Pollino National Park will become the centrepiece of Va’ Sentiero Fest, the first festival-expedition combining hiking, culture and exploration of the local area.
This is a travelling experience that takes participants through villages and landscapes in Calabria and Basilicata, following a shared journey encompassing nature, community and encounters. The festival takes the form of a multi-stage route: an inclusive trek that connects lesser-known villages and mountains, turning each stage into an opportunity for discovery.
Along the way, participants will be able to take part in a wide range of cultural events, discussions, and activities focused on learning about the environment and promoting the local area, thereby experiencing the Pollino in a conscious and participatory way. Each evening, the villages along the route will become meeting places, hosting initiatives and events that showcase the culture and identity of these communities.
Va’ Sentiero Fest is also an experience of sharing: a journey that brings together people from all over Italy, amidst nature, exploration and new friendships.
The initiative is organised in collaboration with Catasta and Next Stop Pollino.
