Overview
The Chiunzi Pass on the Lattari mountains lies on the border of the municipalities of Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino and Tramonti. It is a historic and scenic passage connecting the Amalfi Coast with theAgro Nocerino Sarnese region, and has always been an important communication route between the hinterland and the sea.
Its origins are very ancient, as shown by the presence of a perfectly preserved Norman tower.
After passing through the municipalities of Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino and Corbara, you reach the pass and enter the Tramonti area. From here the road forks: the main section leads to Maiori, while another route, with a gentler slope and breathtaking views, heads towards Ravello.
