Overview
It was established at the end of the 19th century as a botanical garden. Today it is a beautiful public park with rare specimens of tropical and equatorial flora, as well as fountains, busts of patriots, remains of Roman columns and a 16th century portal, the only remaining trace of the Vitrioli palace, destroyed in the 1908 earthquake.
