Scontrone

Scontrone is a village with a dual soul, ancient history and modern art, attachment to its roots and a desire to invent a future. Like its essence, the village's structure is also dual: the municipality is located in the highest part of the town, in the most historic part, while the hamlet of Villa Scontrone lies downstream, on the Sangro river. In the ancient village, the intertwining of the medieval imprint and contemporary art is evident: here, in fact, people can admire marvellous murals and sculptures, which embellish the village. Finally, Scontrone has, still in the artistic sphere, a very ambitious project: it wants to become the House of the Muses, spreading art in all its aspects, from music to theatre, from poetry to painting and multimedia art.
