Overview
From December 25 to 29, 2025, and January 4 to 6, 2026, one of Sicily's most evocative Christmas events returns: the Living Nativity Scene of Custonaci, set up in the extraordinary setting of the Mangiapane Cave, in the heart of Cornino Bay.
This ancient natural cave, inhabited since the Paleolithic era, is transformed every year into a spectacular open-air theater, where a historical reenactment of the Nativity is staged, combining faith, tradition, and popular culture.
Over fifty actors in period costume populate the peasant village recreated inside the cave, bringing to life scenes of everyday life in the past, with ancient crafts, artisan workshops, farm animals, and rural settings. Every detail is carefully crafted to offer visitors an authentic journey through time and the traditions of Sicilian Christmas.
An exciting event for young and old alike, combining spirituality, local identity, and immersive entertainment, showcasing one of the most fascinating natural and cultural sites in the Trapani area.
