Sailing from Milazzo and bathing at Gelso Beach
Depart in the morning from the Santa Maria Maggiore port of Milazzo. After about 3 hours of sailing, you will land on Vulcano, a volcanic island with intense waters.
First stop in the roadstead at Mulberry Beach on the south coast: black sand, white lighthouse and views of Mount Etna. Swimming is a must in the clear waters sheltered from the wind.
Here you can breathe in the wild and silent nature of the island.
Horse Cave and Venus Pool
Continue to the northwest coast. You admire the Horse Cave, once populated by seahorses, and the Venus Pool, a natural pool of rare beauty.
