Frederician Castle of Brindisi

Overview

Emperor Federico II was the first to build the castle of Brindisi in the first half of the 13th century. Later, the Angevins restored the building and, towards the end of the 15th century, the Aragonese decided to enlarge it. Finally, in the 16th century Carlo V did further work to reinforce the structure.
