Overview
If there are places where, on arriving, one seems to have taken a trip back in time to find oneself in the middle of the Middle Ages, amidst the duels of knights and the gazes of mysterious ladies, Vogogna is certainly one of them. Surrounded by dense and wild nature, the village is surrounded by military fortifications and every piece of architecture, every detail and every glimpse tells of its past. Once, as an additional fortification, walls were built that also enclosed part of the village, which have now almost completely disappeared, while the majestic and imposing Castello Visconteo, with its towers and crenellated walls, remains to keep alive the memory of past centuries. But the past has not stood still, and in Vogogna it is intertwined with the future: a multimedia centre of national importance has been set up in the castle.
