Overview
Whether you're hiking, on a walking tour or cycling, a trip to the MaceretoPlateau is all about breathing clean air and enjoying the unspoilt landscape in the beauty of silence.
Located in the Sibillini Mountains National Park, near Cupi in the province of Macerata, this magnificent area of high, flat land is the point of arrival or departure for many great itineraries. All around you there is pastureland and nature as far as the eye can see: a stark landscape, devoid of space and time, with the soft shapes of the Umbria-Marche Apennines.
On reaching this haven of nature, don't forget to pay a visit to the splendid Santuario di Macereto, a Renaissance-era sanctuary built in 1528, which stands at 1000 m above sea level. The complex includes the Church, the House of the Pilgrims, the House of the Guard Corps and the Palazzo delle Guaite.
