Church of Saints Nicholas and Martin

Overview

The religious building of St Nicholas, dating back to the 17th-18th centuries, stands in the town's central square and features perfect Baroque architecture. Inside, there are five gilded and inlaid wooden altars, a damask-decorated wooden ceiling and an altarpiece by Simone De Magistris (currently housed in the town hall), the church also houses altarpieces attributable to the Marche painters G. Ghezzi and F. Ricci, as well as an organ of the Callidian school. The church, currently no longer consecrated, is used as a venue for artistic events and classical music concerts.
