Garden of the Five Senses in Licenza: a park where nature is touched, smelled and listened to
At the gates of Licenza, a small town to the east of Rome, in the heart of the Lucretili Mountains, the Garden of the Five Senses is a park designed to be explored with all the senses, not just the eyes. The path crosses an organic vegetable garden and passes through aromatic plants, where everyone can smell, see, touch, hear and taste what surrounds them. The Garden of the Five Senses also runs alongside the Maricella stream, where every step is accompanied by the sound of water.
A garden open to all
The path is also accessible to people with mobility difficulties: there are ad hoc facilities and accessible restrooms. School groups, families, elderly visitors: the garden welcomes everyone without distinction. It is also a good spot for birdwatching, since we are also inside the Lucretili Mountains Regional Natural Park. Bring binoculars if you have some.
How to get there
The garden is located on Strada Regionale Licinese (km 34.500), 500 metres from the Village itself. Even from the road, the panorama alone is worth the trip.
