Photographic exhibition by Stefano Zardini
The impossible was the measure. And courage, the first line on the horizon.
With A Visionary at Altitude, Stefano Zardini transforms Olympic memory into a contemporary vision, intertwining the epic, elegance and experimentation. A story in images that celebrates the spirit of the Winter Games and rewrites its aesthetics with a powerful, chromatic, almost couture language.
The exhibition unfolds as an authorial triptych across three symbolic venues: Cortina d'Ampezzo, Plan de Corones and Milan.
In Cortina, within the walls of the Ikonos Art Gallery, the pioneers of winter sports come to life in an explosion of colour and bold graphics: gnarled hands, proud gazes, snow as a promise.
At LUMEN - Museum of Mountain Photography, the mountain becomes a poetic installation: white becomes a canvas, the trace becomes gesture, the landscape becomes natural haute couture.
In Milan, in the industrial-chic spaces of Fabbrica del Vapore, the entire project comes together as a visual symphony where history, line and movement enter into dialogue with the spirit of the Milan–Cortina 2026 Olympics.
Zardini photographs courage as if it were light: he stratifies it, colours it, reinvents it. The result is an immersive and sophisticated experience , where tradition meets design, and the archive becomes avant-garde.
It's not just an exhibition.
It's a manifesto of altitude.
An invitation to look higher – and deeper.
