Overview
Monteleone is a small and characteristic village, part of the Municipality of Roncofreddo, where a majestic castle, symbol of its territory and protagonist of its legends, stands out. Over time, the castle has undergone many transformations desired by the families that have inhabited it (including the Malatesta family), but what still remains intact is the atmosphere it carries with it, such as the one that accompanies the story according to which Lord Byron and Countess Teresa Gamba Guiccioli met secretly here.
