The Quadrilatero is an area located in the heart of Bologna’s historic center. This square district comprises Via Rizzoli, Via dell'Archiginnasio, Via Farini and Via Castiglione and runs from Piazza Maggiore to the Asinelli and Garisenda towers
The area and its narrow streets are also home to a market that dates back to medieval times. You’ll find plenty of specialized artisan and commercial stores with long traditions here. These stores (and the family trade) have been passed down from generation to generation and still contain historical furnishings and architecture.
