Overview
From the place where it stands allows the gaze to range over the coast that extends from Capo Palinuro to Punta Campanella: it is the majestic Castle of Rocca Cilento, which dominates from above over a good part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park.
The ancient manor is a few minutes from the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia and boasts an ancient history: some documents attest to its existence since 963 and emphasize the different destinations of use, which have followed one another over time. Since 1119 the building is part of the fortified walls of the castle of Sanseverino, and then transformed into the current dream location, an elegant and suggestive structure.
Today the Castle of Rocca Cilento offers exclusive and comfortable suites, the result of careful restoration, which has preserved the original system, such as the ceiling with chestnut wood beams and local stone walls. The result is an enchanting style that blends the ancient with the contemporary, between tradition and design.
The castle also houses a restaurant and a wonderful “Sunset” terrace with Food and Cocktail Bar, ideal for sipping a glass of wine, admiring the splendid view of the Gulf of Salerno.
