Ostana

There are resilient villages, which do not give in to depopulation and know how to find the winning cards to start up again, putting all their strength and stubbornness into it. Ostana is one of these. A small town of scattered hamlets, it rises above the Po Valley and from the village you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Monviso group. Cradle of Occitan culture, this treasure trove of tradition has been recovered and enhanced, as has the heart of the village, where the houses and small streets are always kept tidy, ready to welcome the traveller with their simple but generous hospitality, with flowers in the windows in summer and a hot dish in winter. All around, a wonderful landscape to explore, perhaps by hiking and walking, to be lulled by the silence and peace of these unspoilt places.
