Overview
Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club
Imagine the perfect setting for a tale that combines history, passion and duels, a fortress perched atop a hill where battles rage until the final surrender of the besieged. All this could happen in Avigliana, in what are now the ruins of the castle, destroyed in 1691 by General Catinat's troops. These ruins, imposing and majestic, still evoke suggestive ancient atmospheres. All around, the town of Avigliana and, further on, a landscape of rare beauty included in the Avigliana Regional Natural Park. Here, the variety of environments creates glimpses and panoramas that know how to enchant, among lakes, woods and flat areas, where the gaze rests and the heart breathes well-being and authenticity.
