Panoramic walk through the woods
From the centre of Limone sul Garda, you can set off to discover a scenic route, which can be followed thanks to the Sentiero del Sole. The road follows the lake to Riva del Garda, at the base of rocky mountain slopes, among heather, olive trees and bougainvillea.
As you walk through enveloping nature, step by step you come across spectacular historical evidence of the world wars. For example, the pine forest winds through the remains of several military fortifications and air-raid shelters.
The Sun Trail is easy to walk, thanks to the absence of heavy gradients, and offers enchanting views. These include the colourful lemon groves, but above all the view of the azure waters of Lake Garda, surrounded by rich Mediterranean vegetation.
What stands out is the 2 kilometre-long suspended cycle path and the little gem of the Sopino waterfall. Experience the thrill of walking along a suspended footbridge, which leads to the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Gardesana construction work.
