Overview
On Sunday 9th November 2025 Ravenna will host Maratona di Ravenna Città d'Arte - Ravenna Marathon, one of Italy's most important running races.
Inserted in UNESCO's network of marathons, every year this race attracts a large number of runners and their families, friends and partners for a weekend in the name of sport, culture and tourism.
The Ravenna Marathon is an engaging event that ranges from the competitive races Marathon (42.195 km) and Half-Marathon (21.097 km) to the non-competitive ones, such as Good Morning Ravenna (10 km), Family Run (2 km), Dogs&Run (2 km) and Correndo Senza Frontiere (3 Km). There are several trails on schedule, some of which take place one day before the official event.
The trails all run within the city, except for the Marathon, which runs until Punta Marina Terme and passes by the Unesco World Heritage monuments of Ravenna. You will cross the heart of the city for a journey into its Byzantine history.
