Overview
The Diocesan Museum in Cosenza is currently still in the preparation phase. The exhibits come from the cathedral and various churches in the diocese, and include sacred silverware, paintings and liturgical vestments from different historical periods and craft workshops. Among the treasures that will soon be on display are the Stauroteca, a priceless reliquary cross made of gold, enamel and precious stones donated by Frederick II to the city of Cosenza, and a large canvas painted by the Neapolitan painter Luca Giordano, portraying the Immaculate Conception and God the Father.
