Overview
Petronà is a mountain municipality in the province of Catanzaro located on the south-eastern slope of the Sila Piccola plateau, near the Calabria National Park.
Its origins date back to the end of the 18th century and, in ancient times, it welcomed shepherds and farmers from the province of Cosenza, who came to the area to work the fields and collect chestnuts.
The symbol of Petronà is undoubtedly the characteristic Mother Church of Saints Peter and Paul Apostles. Don't miss out on a visit to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Constantinople known as the "Cona" the Church of the Arietta and the former Archbishop's Seminary.
Another point of interest is the Colosimo Palace imposing work used as a centre for socio-cultural activities.
