From Montefiascone, immediately after the "Monumento al Pellegrino", begins a stage that is not long but very evocative, alternating between stretches of paved Cassia, nature-immersed paths and routes through gentle hills. The route offers views of the surrounding countryside and Lake Bolsena, providing a pleasant combination of history and landscape.
You cross small country lanes, some still paved with stone, until you reach the Terme del Bagnaccio, where pilgrims can enjoy a refreshing stop in the hot water pools, which have been used for centuries.
The stage ends in Viterbo, the famous "City of the Popes", which welcomes visitors with its medieval charm. Here it is worth exploring the historic centre and, above all, the Palace of the Popes, a symbol of the city's power and ecclesiastical history, before continuing along the Via Romea towards the next stages.
