Overview
The imposing industrial structure, abandoned for more than 30 years, was the richest and largest siderite mining operation in the Valle Trompia and the whole of northern Italy. Recently renovated, the S. Aloisio Mine provides the opportunity to participate in "Adventure Mining" and "Mining Trekking". It is also possible to learn about the process of ore processing, from sorting to smelting and collection in silos, thanks to the museum set-up, consisting of information panels and installations.
