From Brennero to Bressanone

The first 53 km begin at the Brenner Pass, the busiest pass between Italy and Austria. The beautiful cycle path will take you through several tunnels to the former station of Moncucco. The route continues to Colle Isarco and from here, down to Sterzing, the so-called “Fugger City” and the northernmost city in South Tyrol. Follow the direction of the Torre delle Dodici and once in the heart of the old town, you cannot miss a visit to the Town Hall. Continue along the Eisack river to Campo di Trens, then down to the imposing Habsburg Fortress at Fortezza. On the way, is a highly recommended stop at the wonderful Augustinian Abbey of Novacella, before arriving in Brixen. Here, you can admire the imposing cathedral with its cloister and relax in the Aquarena pools. The first stage officially ends at the Brixen railway station.
From Bressanone to Bolzano

The second part of the 43-km-long cycle route runs lightly along the winding valley floor. Before reaching the capital, Chiusa, the artists' town dominated by the imposing Sabiona monastery, is well worth a visit. Along the banks of the Eisack you arrive in Bozen, a marvel in the form of a city embraced by the Dolomites. After visiting the Museion and many other wonders, your journey will end at Roncolo Castle, located a little further north, above the Talfer river.
