The Sicily Parks Cycle Route, five stages over 270 km, is a coast-to-coast route connecting the island's four main nature parks. A journey through evidence of past dominations, local folklore, and inestimable natural heritage with the Alcantara Gorges, Etna park and the Madonie mountains.

From Naxos Gardens to Randazzo

From Naxos Gardens to Randazzo

The first 60 km, from Giardini Naxos, takes you to Randazzo, passing through a series of picturesque villages to the fascinating natural pools of Gurne dell'Alcantara. Continue towards Castiglione di Sicilia and Linguaglossa, where you should take the opportunity to taste freshly cut sausage and fine local wines, before reaching Randazzo, a village that retains its medieval atmosphere. 

From Randazzo to Cerami

From Randazzo to Cerami

The second 60 km stage begins in the heart of the Nebrodi Park, a corner of Sicily dominated by wild nature and verdant mountains. 30 km after Randazzo is Cesarò, famous for its dairy products. Head to Cerami, a small town with deep historical roots.

From Cerami to Petralia Sottana

From Cerami to Petralia Sottana

The third stage, covering some 55 km starts here. In the first section, visit Nicosia, the “City of 24 Barons”. You arrive first in Sperlinga, then Gangi, recognised as the “Jewel of Italy”, finally stopping in Petralia Sottana.

From Petralia Sottana to Cefalù

The fourth stage, about 60 km, passes from Castellana Sicula to Polizzi Generosa. After 25 km, motoring enthusiasts can visit the Targa Florio Museum in Collesano. After Isnello, home to the famous Madonie Astronomical Park, the final kilometres lead to Castelbuono, with its Castello dei Ventimiglia and Civic Museum.

The last stage takes you to the final destination: Cefalù, an enchanting mediaeval town by the sea, and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
