Castellammare del Golfo

Overview

Seen from above, from the panoramic terrace jutting out from the state road, Castellammare is imbued with a timeless charm. And this sensation is confirmed once we arrive in the village, as we stroll through the small harbour, among the boats moored and the fishermen's nets hung out to dry. Guarding the village and the horizon is the Arab-Norman castle, built directly on the sea, majestic and severe: today, thanks to a walkway, you can walk along its walls and let yourself be transported back in time, imagining duels and battles. Sea caves, beaches and coves make this place even more special. Particularly worth seeing is the cave of Santa Margherita, which houses frescoes of sacred images inside.
