Adriatic Sea Forum, disembark in Puglia and admire the beauty of Bari
2 minutes
The much anticipated international traveling event dedicated to nautical tourism in the Adriatic. From Trieste, Dubrovnik, Budva and Ancona, stopping in Puglia. This fifth edition of the Adriatic Sea Forum - Cruise, Ferry, Sail & Yacht will be in Bari on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th October 2022. A great opportunity to treat yourself to a long weekend and enjoy the wonders of the city in October.
The most anticipated event in all of Puglia
Among the most anticipated events in Puglia of the season, the event is organized by Risposte Turismo in partnership with the Port System Authority of the Southern Adriatic Sea and Puglia Promento. The Adriatic Sea Forum will transform Bari into the capital of nautical tourism for two whole days dedicated to debates and insights into the future of the nautical sector.
A splendid occasion both for Bari…and to see Bari
The choice to host the Adriatic Sea Forum in Bari is not accidental by any means: the port of the city has seen a growth of 38% in the number of passengers on ferries and on cruises between 2010 and 2019. Notably visitors using this entrance are able to admire the beauties of the city: the Basilica of San Nicola and the Norman-Swabian Castle.
See Bari and then… taste all the Apulian flavours
If on Thursday and Friday you are engaged in the activities of the forum, you can then spend the entire weekend delighting in the wonders of Bari. From architectural to culinary delights.
The venue chosen to host the Adriatic Sea Forum 2022 is symbolic of the maritime soul of Bari: the Cruise Terminal of the Port System Authority of the Southern Adriatic Sea, it is also traditionally considered the gateway to Europe towards the Balkan Peninsula and the Middle East.
Lose yourself strolling through old Bari, the San Nicola district and the waterfront. To grasp the true essence of the city just sit down for a coffee and a “pasticciotto” pastry treat from the Martinucci pastry shop: a breakfast or a snack that you will surely remember fondly upon your return. Continue your walk by tasting taralli or buying orecchiette in via dell’Arco Basso, known as "Via delle Orecchiette". Lunch is then accomplished with an octopus and burrata sandwich from Mastro Ciccio or with a slice of focaccia from Panificio Fiore. To end the day in the best possible way, after a lot of walking, you need to indulge at the Opera restaurant: the fish dishes are simply divine.
