The Marche region section, from Porto Sant'Elpidio to San Benedetto del Tronto, is an integral part of the larger, more ambitious Ciclovia Adriatica.
This evocative, fascinating route is almost completely on a cycle path, passing historic villages, coastal landscapes and nature reserves, offering a unique experience of nature and culture.
A route of approximately 49 km.

Start at the pine forest of Porto Sant'Elpidio, the well-known footwear district.
The cycle-pedestrian path, which runs along the beach, crosses Lido Fermo arriving in Porto San Giorgio, past lovely beaches and elegant Art Nouveau buildings.
Take the new cycle bridge over the River Ete to Marina Palmense, where you can take a diversion along a stretch of road shared with vehicles, to Torre di Palme, hilltop village with views of the sea and the beautiful surrounding hills.

From Torre di Palme to San Benedetto del Tronto

Back on the coast, cycle towards Pedaso, where you will need to take a short stretch of State Road 16 to Cupra Marittima, named after the ancient pagan deity.Here, the Riviera delle Palme begins, a stunning stretch of coastline in the Marche region, with seafront boulevards, gardens and an abundance of palm trees.
The cycle path will lead you to Grottammare, the “pearl of the Adriatic”, with a medieval village offering views of the entire Riviera. 

Next is San Benedetto del Tronto, undisputed queen of the Riviera delle Palme.
The fabulous golden beaches and tree-lined promenade ideal for relaxing walks and lively nightlife. Conclude the trip at the Sentina Nature Park.
