The territory traversed is stunning and relatively unknown, even among hikers from nearby areas. Just outside the center of San Marino, at the top of Mount Titano, the route descends along surprising forest trails, some of which are quite challenging. Passing through the valleys of the San Marino and Mazzocco streams, the path crosses into Italy, reaching the village of Montemaggio with its former Franciscan convent and the beautiful adjoining church.
In the final kilometers, the trail ascends to the panoramic Varco della Biforca and arrives at the ancient convent of Sant’Igne, a key junction connecting to the path from Rimini to La Verna.
