Putignano: the historical town centre

We are standing near the parish church of Putignano, dedicated to San Pietro. The temple was erected in the twelfth century, but rebuilt in baroque form and only the facade with the portal and the rose window remain of the original structure. Moving through the narrow streets we are fascinated by the picturesque glimpses and the precious examples of architecture that date from the Middle Ages and the Baroque.
