Overview
The traditional Primo Maggio (May Day) concert in Rome says goodbye to Piazza San Giovanni, and for the 2024 edition, moves to the Circus Maximus.
The decision, explain the organisers on social media, was dictated by the "renovation work involving Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano in view of the 2025 Jubilee".
Established in 1990, the event is promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL, attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators. The Concert is also broadcast live in its entirety by RAI 3 and RAI Radio 2.
It's simultaneously a musical marathon, a television programme and a street event that strives to please everyone while maintaining high quality and with a background of social content that is always present and vivid.
