The third highest peak of the Dolomites
At 3,244 metres, Cima Tofana is the highest peak in the Cortina d'Ampezzo area and the third highest in the Dolomites. From its summit, you can enjoy a landscape of timeless beauty: walk up to the panoramic terrace and allow your gaze to sweep over the entire Ampezzo basin, even more beautiful in the pastel hues of dawn or under the fiery red sky of sunset. The Massiccio delle Tofane rises magnificently between Cortina and San Vito di Cadore and offers mountain lovers ideal destinations all year round, from 47 kilometres of ski slopes in winter to hiking and mountain biking trails in summer. Stop at one of the many alpine huts you will find along the hiking and climbing routes to relax, take in the scenery and enjoy local products.
