Overview
Wine lovers take note. On 25 May 2024 there's another chance to experience the must-see Amber wine festival, a major wine and food event held at the spectacular location of Castle of San Giusto, in the historic setting of the ex-winery and the Lalio and Fiorito bastions offering a captivating view of the bay of Trieste.
The event will be attended by more than 40 wine growers from 4 different wine regions: Carso, Collio, Istria and Austria. This is the home of the world's best producers of orange wines, made from white grapes fermented on the skins to give them a bright orange colour with an intense aroma. Trieste, at the centre of this wine region, is home to some outstanding labels. The wines will be paired with a selection of local culinary specialities, reinvented for the occasion with a modern twist, by a team of renowned chefs.
