The Museum of Italian Design is located inside the Palazzo dell'Arte, home of the Milan Triennale. Founded in 2007, it presents a selection of the most iconic and representative pieces of Italian design from 1946 to 1981.
The museum was created with the aim of showcasing Italian design, as well as analyzing the historical and social context where the items were developed. More than 1,600 iconic design objects are presented, including details about the designers, companies and values that have made Italian style famous the world over. Each installation is linked to the message the designer and company wanted to convey and the influence it generated.
On Saturdays, from 12 noon, you can join a guided tour to learn more about the stories behind the objects on display.
