After the 1966 flood, the environment and works were restored and the museum was opened to the public again in 1977. It also houses a permanent exhibition of engraved woodcuts of woodcuts by Pietro Parigi (1892-1988). Since 2002, the church of Santa Croce has also been organised as a museum and a visit to the basilica together with its fine works of art is part of the rich museum itinerary.
