Huge gatherings will still be off limits this summer. Yet some of the most popular music events loved by young people will nevertheless still be staged with modified formulas in compliance with current health safety regulations: here are 5 events that are sure to be enjoyable and happy with plenty of music.
The Gianni Brera Civic Arena is home to the first edition of a concert-event combining music and football that makes its debut on 24 August. Men and women football players will perform duets and jam sessions with singers, bands, DJs and producers, while the FootballRock village in the surrounding Sempione Park will welcome sporting performances and theme-based meetings with top figures in sports, music and cinema. Part of the proceeds will be donated to charity Insuperabili Onlus, which promotes football practice for children with physical and sensory disabilities.

A festival for street artists from all over the world performing in the streets and squares of the city with their own shows and instruments, giving life to a surprising collection of every musical genre. The Emilian city 25-29 August becomes a city of art even for show business by merging music, juggling and culture. The idea is to provide an open stage for people who usually do not have such a platform and thereby highlight their talent: Buskers are classic and authentic street musicians.

The traditional summer music format organized by the Italian radio station is staged in the seaside resort of Romagna for the whole of August. The festival kicks off on the weekend of the so-called Pink Night, the famous Riviera New Year celebrated between 30 July and 1 August. The stage in the central Piazzale Roma, overlooking the beach, is home to live performances by the most popular artists among young people today, protagonists of talent shows and the hip hop, rock and dance scene. The main event is also flanked by open-air happenings for people keen on sport.

Dance to the enthralling rhythm of swing, rock'n'roll, jive, doo-wop, rhythm'n'blues and country & western during this International festival of 1940-50s American music and culture. From 30 July to 8 August the entire seaside resort in the Marches Region will be embellished around a central theme, pervaded by live concerts, dance lessons at various levels, corners for thematic hairstyles and make-up, car parades and vintage stands, traditional American dishes such as chili, fajitas and enchiladas. Locorotondo - one of the most beautiful villages in Italy in Valle d'Itria, province of Bari - is home to a Festival characterized by daring contaminations between musical genres, balancing popularity and refinement. This year's edition (24 July - 29 August) is dedicated to the theme of “open-eyed music” and combines experimental, ambient, electronic, psychedelic, jazz, black and Italian music by young breakout artists. Various other art events also join the setting, in a combination of multidisciplinary sound and vision.
