Shrine of Our Lady of Milicia

Overview

This exceptional collection consists of 400 paintings on tin, taken from sardine cans (35x25 cm), ranging from the 19th century to the present day. The works represent the graces obtained following the intervention of Our Lady of Milicia, which the miraculous person then brought to the sanctuary to fulfil the vow. The paintings were created by the Sicilian cart painters.
