Orroli

Orroli, a village known for the presence among its fellow citizens of numerous centenarians, so much so that it is known as the 'Land of Long Life', is a veritable open-air museum, such is the wealth of archaeological finds to be found in its territory. This beautiful town in the Sarcidano area preserves in its territory a constellation of precious archaeological sites in its territory. The two most representative of this wealth of ancient history are the necropolis of Su Motti, with its domus de janas - the mysterious fairy houses - and the Nuraghe Arrubiu. Imposing, fascinating and permeated with stories and legends, the red stone nuraghe has a structure that distinguishes it from all other similar constructions: around the central keep, five other towers are arranged, connected by high bastions. A place of defence, a place of great fascination, the Nuraghe Arrubiu is the symbol of this ancient land.
