The Poetto seafront

Overview

A corner of summer 365 days a year

Located on the central-southern coast of beautiful Sardinia, in the Gulf of Angels, the Poetto seafront promenade stretches for about 9 kilometres, from the Sella del Diavolo (Devil’s Saddle) to the Quartu coastline. It is Cagliari’s main beach and one of the busiest in the south of the island of Sardinia, promising tourists, locals and visitors alike 365 days a year of sunshine.

Soft golden sand, blue sea, relaxation, fun and plenty of opportunities to practice sport: these are the secret ingredients of the wonderful Quartu beach. The waterfront area offers a wide range of services, including B&Bs, beach clubs, sailing schools, playgrounds and basketball courts.

Thanks to the bicycle and pedestrian paths, it is the perfect destination for walking and cycling. Don’t miss this stop also to enjoy a coffee or an aperitif at one of the many kiosks, all complemented by magnificent views and sea air.
