Crotone is hosting the 29th edition of the ‘Vincenzo Scaramuzza’ International Competition, an event dedicated to young performers and the new generations of musicians, as part of the 46th ‘L’Hera della Magna Grecia’ Concert Season, promoted by the Società Beethoven A.C.A.M.
The competition takes place in the Auditorium of the ‘Orfeo Stillo’ Music Secondary School, with the participation of musicians from various national and international backgrounds. The event represents an important opportunity for dialogue and artistic development for students, soloists and ensembles active in various fields of music.
The competition categories include piano performance – for soloists, duos and four-hand piano – as well as sections dedicated to string instruments (violins, violas, cellos and double basses), guitar, wind instruments and vocal performance. The competition also welcomes choirs, chamber music groups, and jazz and pop ensembles, providing a platform for the expression of various musical styles.
Through auditions, performances and opportunities for young artists to meet, the competition continues to promote musical culture and emerging talent, strengthening the link between artistic training and the local area in the context of the city of Crotone.
