Experience the mountains with an active summer vacation

Trentino Alto Adige is the Italian region most cited for the extraordinary beauty of its mountains, offering the possibility of an exciting vacation filled with sports and activity amidst breathtaking scenery.
Even when the ski season ends, the vacation continues in the mountainous zones of Trentino and of Alto Adige.

Beginning with Riva del Garda, on the homonymous Lake Garda, the Riva Cup sets sail on May 30th, historic sailing regatta that every year sees more than 100 boats on the water. The Riva Cup is reserved to the International 14, 505, Korsar and Dyas classes. While the Korsar class is a tradition practiced only in Austria and Germany, Switzerland, England, France, Finland and Denmark are more familiar with the 505 (a variation on the 470 class).
Cycling enthusiasts absolutely cannot miss the Giro d'Italia, this year in its 96th edition, returns to the mountains of Trentino Alto Adige with three excellent stages along the way: from Mori to Polsa on May 23rd, from Ponte di Legno to Val Martello on the 24th, and concluding at the Three Peaks of Lavaredo on the 25th.

Trentino is also the top sponsor of the Italian Basketball Federation until 2014. Folgaria is location for the Men’s Collegiate Meeting until August 9th, in preparation for the 2013 European Championships.
For the entire season, outdoor trainings and other athletic events are open to spectators.
Of course, beyond spectator sports, guided excursions with expert Alpine guides are also available. Some of the most inspiring routes run through the Crest of Sasso Rotto, and along the Giuliani trail; the Giuliani trail is an Alpine path that traces sharp edges of the crest that serves as watershed between the Mocheni Valley and the Valsugana, from which trekkers can admire astonishing vistas over the Lagorai Mountain Chain.
