Together with Henri Cartier-Bresson, Doisneau is considered to be one of the founding fathers of French humanist photography and street photojournalism. With his lens he captures the daily life of men and women who live in Paris and its suburbs, with all of the emotions of the gestures and of the situations in which they find themselves.
His is a light, ironic story, one that winks favourable at people. He even becomes a gentle participant when shooting lovers and children.
