17.06.2014 - 20.06.2014
Four days dedicated to men's fashion, June 17th to 20th, with parades, exhibitions, and events for the 86th edition of "Pitti Immagine Uomo” on the historic stage of the Da Basso Fortress in Florence. This year's theme is "Pitti Ping Pong," an overview of fashion and sport and their interaction with each other
Florence, the city where Italian fashion was officially born, celebrates clothing “Made in Italy" with film screenings, exhibitions, and concerts - a full program of events aimed at both professionals and visitors. Of note, among others, is the exhibition “Equilibrium” of Salvatore Ferragamo, an Emilio Pucci exhibit inside the Baptistery, and the extraordinary opening of the Gucci Museum with a spectacular illumination of the building’s facade. And speaking of lights, the festival is also an opportunity to usher in the new view of Ponte Vecchio, bathed in new, magical lighting.
"Pitti Immagine Uomo" pays tribute to such a city that has maintained the splendor of the past, so much so that its downtown has been on the list of UNESCO Word Heritage sites since 1982. It is also the opportunity to visit the evocative locations in Florence, such as the Da Basso Fortress, a masterpiece of Renaissance military architecture.
