Famous throughout the world for the motor racing track, Imola preserves important traces of the past, such as the imposing Rocca Sforzesca. Built in 1259, it was rerfurbished in the late fifteenth century and adapted for defence from firearms with ravelins, cylindrical towers, embrasures with decorations and crests. Inside there is a fine display of antique weapons and medieval ceramics and majolica.
