Overview
A tiny village in Valdera perched on a hill and surrounded by fertile countryside, Lajatico is the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli, who every year organises a summer concert at the Teatro del Silenzio, a natural theatre built taking advantage of the conformation of the hills, about one kilometre from the village. In the centre, a pond, granite blocks and each year a different installation by several important artists. Collateral to the music event is the Artinsolite art review, during which the village comes alive and is filled with contemporary works and installations.
