12.09.2012 - 24.11.2012
Turin, September 12 to November 24, 2012 – Language for a new generation, an homage to the artists of dance in the Capital of Savoy

Torinodanza
The latest edition of Torinodanza, organized by the Teatro Stabile, is dedicated to the “curious spectator,” who can choose from among a vast range of performances (some intended just for children).
Along with long-esteemed dancers like Philippe Decouflé, the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet of New York, the Israeli Batsheva Dance Company (in collaboration with Romaeuropa Festival), or the Belgian C de la B, Japanese hip-hop groups and the Dancing Hands of Michèle Anne De Mey will also take the stage.
As in past years, Torinodanza 2012 and MITO SettembreMusica share the same first two performances on their programmes.
Organizers of the event hope to point toward younger performers and lesser-known aspects of dance, investing in its future by bringing younger audiences and younger dancers into the mix. With a programme in 360°, and with Philippe Decouflé leading on opening night, audiences will discover the creative language of new generations and new geographies with the help of the grand maestros of dance.
