Piacenza, 12 June to 11 September - Chromatic theme evenings on the waves of Jazz, including sailing trips, dinner and live concerts on Po river.
Sunset on Po river
The curtain rises on Saturday 12 June with the Jazz Funk “pink” evening, to bring afloat a modern interpretation of “soul”. On Saturday 19 June “green” is ruling, with an evening devoted to “Bossa nova”, the famous Brazilian rhythm from the Fifties, inspired by the minimalist atmosphere of European music from the Parisian “Rive Gauche”. After the summer break, “lilac” will draw you back with “Swing” jigs on Saturday 4 September. This unusual event will be closed by “Jazz Manouche” live concert on Saturday 11 September: the weird mix of jazz and gypsy music, on “turquoise” shades.
The trips start from San Nazzaro docks, a small harbour just a stone’s throw from Monticelli d’Ongina, which can be reached both from Piacenza Sud exit (A1), and from Caorso exit (A21), going towards Cremona: after getting out of the town of Caorso, turn left following the San Nazzaro sign, turn left after 500 m, towards Milan / Maleo over the bridge, then take the first road on the left and go down to Po river.
