An unmissable event that will trace the history of Italian elegance, from the women of the Renaissance to the experiments of Futurism, from the clothes of the movie stars to the great contemporary stylists. Is devoted to fashion, the main «ambassador» of Italy in the world, the exhibition «Fashion in Italy. 150 years of elegance» which will open to the public next September 17th in the striking Reggia of Venaria Reale, near Turin. Under the artistic direction of the great stylist Franca Sozzani and Gabriella Pescucci, awarded with the Oscar, that makes of the Italian style the brand of the great cinematic masterpieces, the exhibition tells the story of fashion in Italy over the past 150 years, also with an eye to the future. Main core of the show are the clothes from the prestigious collection of the Foundation Tirelli - Trappetti to which will be added those made by the prestigious Italian contemporary stylists, clothes from movies that made the history of our Country and clothes belonged to historical figures who have marked an epoch with their style. The exhibition, curated by Michele De Lucchi, is not only to «see», but allows to the clothes to «relive» through vintage photos, images of atelier and filmchips.
