The city of design and and fashion, of art and new technologies . 
Thus, not only business and economics in Milan, but, above all, creativity and inventiveness.   
It is not by chance that Leonardo da Vinci found the most suitable background to express himself and create masterpieces in the land of St. Ambrogius and Alessandro Manzoni.    Pausing a little in front of the Last Supper, spending some time at Brera Picture Gallery or in the Museum of Natural History, being carried away by Sforza Castle’s sceneries or by world-famed musical performances at the Scala theatre is enough to get a glimpse of the ideas that inspired artists and scholars, scientists and musicians.

That creativity is still alive, it is always new. 
Scores of places devoted to live music performances, contemporary theatre stages, cinemas, both in the town centre and in multiplex located in different parts of the city, offering a vast array of movies, including all the latest ones.   
Milan is a city that should be experienced all day long. From dawn till dusk, there is always something to do! Off you go in the morning, as soon as you wake up, to enjoy a foamy cocoa-topped cappuccino; the day goes on with a stroll through the plentiful shops in the city centre. Among the shop windows, diverse art galleries display their innovative creations both by famous and rising artists.   

All the small cafés offer quick menus to suit all tastes: from the more refined bistrots in the Gallery, to the trendy Bar Bianco in Sempione Park. 
In the afternoon, you can choose to be delighted by an exhibition at the Triennale palace or at Palazzo Reale (the Royal Palace).   
Come night, it’s “happy hour” time, an all Milanese rite. You’ll be spoilt for choice with regard to area and style: trendy, alternative, visionary - creative, manager-style.
And then the night is lit up by show and entertainment lights. From lyrical music at the Scala theatre to the stand-up comedy at Zelig and the Arcimboldi, the night goes on among footlight locations. 
Finally, if you are still awake, there are thousands of clubs and gathering places, where to dance, play and leave the long day behind.
